Thanateros Records is an independent record company committed to liberating innovative, eccentric, and most especially, heretical artists with the power of sound. Adding volume and verve to verse, Thanateros conjoins talent that is often obscured by a formulaic and orthodox music industry with technical expertise and an attitude that knows how to support the sometimes nuanced, often blatant, creative genius in each musician or writer.
Thanateros producer Steve Piper first developed an interest in recording in high school. He was always the kid who one who showed up with equipment, wanting the record the rehearsals and gigs. After graduating from the Conservatory Of Recording Arts & Sciences, Steve mentored with Jim Wirt, Producer of Incubus, Something Corporate, Hoobastank & Live. As 4th Street Recording studio manager, Steve was responsible for numerous demo projects and several major label releases.
